Pangasinan Attractions: Anda, Pangasinan

Anda is the so-called "Mother of the Hundred Islands." because of its proximity to the popular destination.  However, it does boast of its own white sand beaches and even a sand bar.

It is accessible mostly through the Anda Bridge connecting it to the municipality of Bolinao. This bridge was originally part of the Carmen Bridge which was destroyed during the earthquake of 1990.

Anda is well-known for the Tondol Beach, with its fine white sand beach and a shallow coastline. On low tides, the water recedes so far out that it is possible to walk in shallow water for up to a kilometer.

According to the renowned photographer, Cloyd Madrid, Tondol Beach offers "clear azure waters" and "fine cream-white sand" that stretches out for almost a kilometer away from the mainland.

During the low tide, a number of sandbars appear in the water and people can walk all the way from the shore to the closest island with the water only reaching up to their ankles.

During low tide, starfish are easily visible in the shallow water along with other marine life such as fishes and sea urchins.

Instead of beautiful sunsets, Tondol beach is blessed with stunning sunrises.

Tondol Beach is already known as the "little Boracay of the north. It is the perfect place for those who are looking to deviate from the mainstream and more popular destinations in Pangasinan.

The magnificent beauty of this exquisite virgin beach is just breathtaking.

Colibra Island, which is about 20 to 30 minutes boatride from the mainland has a beautiful shoreline; clear waters that is good for for diving and snorkeling. The island’s beach however has no shade. So be prepared to get a dark tan.
